What the download actually is

The package is an ordinary ZIP archive — not an installer, and not a small setup stub that fetches the real payload afterwards. The button at the top saves one file named solaraV3.zip and nothing else happens: no second window, no companion tool, and no key, token or account requested at any point. If your download behaves differently, you are not on the file this page describes.

Because Solara Executor is a session-scoped desktop application, the archive is effectively the whole product. What it does not contain are the two prerequisites it needs at runtime: the x64 .NET Desktop Runtime and the official Roblox Player, covered on the requirements page and sequenced in the install guide. Read one of them first, because a missing runtime fails in a way that looks identical to a corrupt download — the application starts, exits immediately, and never draws a window.

Release details

The table below is the complete published description of this release. Every value in it is something you can check against the file sitting in your downloads folder, and against the version the application reports once it runs. If a mirror advertises a different package name, version or architecture while claiming to be this release, treat the mismatch as decisive rather than cosmetic.

The architecture row matters most. There is no 32-bit package and no ARM64 package in this line, so a file offered as an x86 or Windows-on-ARM edition is not a repackaged version of this release.

What you should have after the download

The file that lands in your downloads folder should be named solaraV3.zip. Right-click it, open Properties, and read the Type of file line — it should say ZIP archive. If Windows hid the extension, turn file name extensions on in Explorer's View options so you can see the real name.

Extract the archive to a folder under your user profile before you launch anything. Running the executable from Explorer's ZIP preview unpacks it into a temporary location that Windows can clean up underneath the process, which produces confusing missing-file errors while the ZIP still looks intact.

  1. Confirm the filename. The published package is solaraV3.zip. A different name, a different extension or an installer stub is not this release.
  2. Extract to a real folder. Somewhere under your user profile is fine. Avoid Program Files, where ordinary file operations need elevation and produce permission errors unrelated to the tool.
  3. Check the version once it runs. The application should report 3.221; compare that against the changelog.

What a legitimate download looks like

The distribution pattern matters as much as the file. A direct package download is boring by design: you click a link, a file saves, and the transaction ends. Hostile mirrors deviate from that pattern in the same recognisable ways, because the deviations are how the operator makes money.

Treat the following as disqualifying rather than merely annoying: a countdown timer before the real link appears, a chain of link shorteners or ad gateways between the button and the file, a requirement to join a Discord server or clear checkpoints to get a key, a bundled browser extension or PC optimiser, or a password-protected archive with the password posted in a video description. That last one deserves particular suspicion — encryption stops your antivirus inspecting the contents until after you supply the password, which is the point of using it.

The fake-download indicators page works through these signals in more detail, including redirect chains, mismatched version numbers, and pages that copy this documentation's wording while serving a different binary.

Before you run it

Extract the archive to a real folder first — somewhere under your user profile is fine, and Program Files is best avoided for the permission behaviour it introduces. Running an executable straight from Explorer's ZIP preview appears to work and then fails confusingly, because the preview unpacks into a temporary location that gets cleaned up underneath the running process.

Install the prerequisites before the first launch rather than after the first failure. The requirements page covers the x64 .NET Desktop Runtime, the architecture constraint and the administrator elevation the attach step needs; the install guide puts them into the sequence that works.

Windows may show a SmartScreen prompt or an unverified-publisher dialog on first launch. That is normal for an unsigned desktop application. On recent Windows 11 builds, Smart App Control can block the executable until it is turned off — the Windows guide covers that case, and the safety page explains how to read each prompt. After extraction, follow the install guide for the attach sequence.
